Wisbech Lions celebrate their 42nd anniversary

Wisbech Lions have celebrated the 42nd anniversary of the club in style.

A total of 74 Lions and their guests enjoyed a dinner in Emneth Central Hall on February 20.

Members were joined by colleagues from clubs across the region along with Lion District Governor, Kevin Rogers, and Wisbech Mayor, Michael Hill.

Wisbech Lions Club President Ray Hill highlighted the help and donations given to local causes during the last year which has included speech therapy software to the Stroke Club and supplying picnic tables for school children. He also highlighted the club’s successes.

Mr Rogers read a message of greetings from International Lion President Joe Preston, and praised the Wisbech group.

He concluded his speech by making a presentation to Lion Les Sprigs and a presentation of bouquets.
