Wisbech museum appeals for volunteers
A Wisbech museum is looking to recruit outgoing volunteers who are interested in gaining experience in catering or hospitality.
Peckover House is looking to find new volunteers to help in its Reed Barn Tea Room on Mondays and weekends between noon and 3pm.
The barn is one of the oldest buildings in Wisbech and makes an atmospheric and pleasant location for the tea room.
Volunteers wishing to join the team who run the venue would be helping with a variety of tasks, including food preparation, clearing tables, dishwashing, as well as greeting and welcoming visitors.
So, if you have ever felt that your spare time and skills could be used in a way that will bring new experience and introduce you to new friends and colleagues, you could be just who Peckover House needs right now!
“Peckover is very fortunate in having many excellent volunteers, who are great ambassadors for us and for the National Trust, but we need a few more for this season,” said catering manager Laura Andrews.
“If you are looking to develop new skills and share your experience, we would love to hear from you.”
Peckover House is a classic Georgian House and was lived in by the Peckover family.
Anyone interested in joining the catering team as a volunteer, or who would like to find out more, should contact Laura by phone on 01945 583463 or email email@example.com
