Wisbech museum toasts Liberteas
Liberty was celebrated during a special event at an historic Wisbech venue. The Reed Barn at Peckover House celebrated the 800th anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta with a Liberteas event.
Scores of people went along to enjoy the special menu and were also able to learn more about this important document, which has helped to secure a number of the freedoms that we enjoy today.
Local hero Thomas Clarkson and his fight against slavery was also honoured during the event. Diane Smith, from Peckover House, said: “People were really interested in the Magna Carta.”
