Wisbech pair to star in new film

Actors from the Wisbech area are taking part in a new movie which will be filmed in the Fens later this year.

Wisbech man Richard Basey Fisher and Annie Larkin, of Gorefield, are staring in Hallusinogen, which will be filmed in Terrington St Clement in June.

The horror movie was the brainchild of director, Jack Percy.

The movie is centred on a house party where the characters take a drug which leads to different hallucinations.

The 23-year-old Peterborough man has managed to claw together a £10,000 budget to bring his story to life, but is also hoping to attract more sponsorship.

He is aiming for the film to be screened at festivals with the hope of it being picked up by online screening services.

Mr Percy said: “I wanted to try and get as many different genres into the film as I could and using a hallucination made sense.

“As it’s like a dream you can swap locations without having to explain it.

“Each of the hallucinations reflects the character’s personalities. One will be a rock music video and another character is a bit in love with themselves so it is set in an enchanted forest.”

The film also stars Eleanor Pettet, of King’s Lynn, along with Megan Stachini, from Borehamwood and Josh Baker, of Castor.

Most the actors were cast after an on-line audition and Mr Percy was able to take on the crew from the recent Dishonoured movie, which was set in South Holland.

The crew, who hail from Peterborough, Spalding and Wisbech, includes production manager Ashley Hornigold, of Lynn.

The original soundtrack is being devised by Oscar Mason of Gorefield.

Mr Percy is also looking for further sponsorship or companies looking to product place in a bid to enhance the budget.
