Students at Thomas Clarkson Academy are in urgent need of a very large wardrobe to use in their upcoming performance of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.

Rehearsals are now under way for the show which will take place in February and the cast has been chosen, with the lead roles going to Carl Ward (Peter), Bethany Ellerby (Susan), Hayden Hunnable (Edmund), Justina Kakstyte and Mia Barrett (both cast as Lucy), Owen Ketteringham (Aslan the Lion) and Molly-Mae Taylor (The White Witch).

Head of drama Mrs Wilcox said: “We are desperately seeking a portal to another realm, preferably in the shape of a large wardrobe. It can be returned but may not be in its original state! Ideally we need to be able to take it apart. We are also looking for fur coats to borrow and a lamp post if anyone has one going spare!”

The school will be working in conjunction with the department of media make up at the College of West Anglia’s Lynn’s campus, who will be doing the stage make-up for the cast.

Tickets for the two performances, on Wednesday and Thursday, February 11 and 12, will go on sale in the New Year.

Anyone who has a wardrobe to donate, or fur coats to loan, should contact Mrs Wilcox on 01945 585237 or email jwilcox@thomasclarkson.cambs.sch.uk
