Witness appeal after fatal A47 crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following the fatal collision on the A47 at East Winch yesterday (Wednesday) in which three people died.

A silver Kia Cee’d travelling towards King’s Lynn was in collision with a lorry travelling in the opposite direction outside the Carpenter’s Arms pub at around 11.15am.

Three people in the car were pronounced deceased at the scene, they are believed to be a man and a woman in their 60s and a man in his 30s, all from Lancashire. The lorry driver suffered minor injuries.

There was also a minor collision between a silver Ford Transit minibus and a white Mercedes Sprinter van following the first collision.

The A47 was closed for around 8 hours.

Officers want to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the manner of driving of the lorry or car beforehand.
