A woman and two dogs had to be rescued by fire crews after a vehicle got stuck in flood water on the Welney Wash road yesterday morning.

The road has been shut by flooding for nearly two weeks after agencies were criticised for not shutting it promptly during bad weather over the Easter bank holiday.

Fire service chiefs said crews were called to the latest incident shortly before 11am on Sunday.
