Woman dies at Wisbech school

Emergency services were called to a Wisbech school yesterday (Wednesday) lunchtime following reports of the death of a woman.

Police, paramedics and an air ambulance all attended the Nene and Ramnoth School in Norwich Road.

A Cambridgeshire police spokesperson said: "We were called at 12.44pm with reports of a sudden death at the Nene and Ramnoth School in Wisbech.

“Officers attended the scene. The woman’s death is not being treated as suspicious.”

The school, which is part of the Elliott Foundation Academies, said it would be issuing a statement on the tragedy later today.
