A WOMAN in her 50s has been taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital at Cambridge after her car left the road and rolled into a field and was impaled by a fence.
The Magpas Helimedix team were accompanying the woman, who is in a serious but stable condition, to the Cambridge hospital in a land ambulance.
The single vehicle accident happened on the Benwick Road in Doddington this morning.
When the Magpas team of Dr Ben Teasdale, Dr Fiona Bowles and Volunteer Paramedic Dan Cody arrived at just before 10am, the woman was trapped.
The team worked alongside the emergency services to get her out of the car.
She suffered serious chest and arm injuries, the Magpas team sedated before accompanying her to hospital.
Fire services and an EEAST Ambulance crew were also on the scene.
