Work has started on a £3.4 million development of affordable homes in March.
Circle Housing Roddons and Norwich-based developer Lovell are working on the scheme for 31 houses and bungalows in Grounds Avenue. The development of two bungalows and 29 houses is on former allotment land. Twenty-two homes will be for affordable rent and nine for shared ownership.
The first homes are set to be finished next summer with the overall scheme scheduled for completion in the autumn. Architects are The Design Partnership, of Chatteris.
Circle Housing regional operations director Christopher Smith said: “The new homes on Grounds Avenue are part of our commitment to building new and affordable homes in Fenland.”
