I READ your article (September 26) about the sad plight of so many cats in the region that need to be re-homed and I considered their former owners’ heart-wrenching decision to give them up.
People may not admit it, but I believe that the problem may in many cases just be down to the on-going cost of feeding their much loved pet.
I wonder if any shops or supermarkets might be prepared to help?
Every now and again I receive vouchers from supermarkets offering £2 off a £20 spend or £6 off a £30 spend etc to encourage trade.
I wonder if there are any retailers out there who would be prepared to make an offer to shoppers that they can receive, say, £10 worth of pet food for £5 if they spend £25 on other goods at the same time?
