I WOULD like to say a big ‘thank you’ to everyone involved in the four highest mountains challenge in the Lake District at the beginning of June.
To Shane Reed for his impressive organisation of the event and to Len Priestley for his efficient driving and his patience in transporting all 11 of us from mountain to mountain.
The main beneficiaries will be those involved in fighting Neuroblastoma, which is such a cruel and aggressive condition, faced so bravely by the affected children and their families.
The weekend was a real emotional roller coaster but so worthwhile.
I want to convey my admiration and respect for Linza and Steve Corp who front the charity “Families against Neuroblastoma” (FAN).
I know that Linza works tirelessly to keep the flag flying in a campaign of fundraising, promoting awareness and lobbying major medical bodies and politicians.
Well done a thousand times over.
