I’VE just returned from watching “Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy” at Wimblington Village Hall courtesy of Wimblington Film Club.
It was packed and I couldn’t believe the quality of the showing and the really good sound system that made me feel part of the action.
For £2.50 entrance and 50p for a cup of tea and biscuits with free sweeties, it’s a really cheap and fun way of seeing quite new films and I am a real convert and looking forward to Jane Eyre on March 27.
My sincere appreciation to Susie Spurr whose brain child this was and it is typical of her quiet determination to provide the community with amenities that she persisted - never one to shout about her actions, Susie always has her heart in the right place where Wimblington community is concerned.
Thanks to Pat Hart and people I didn’t even know who made this unexpectedly brilliant afternoon for me possible.
It’s amazing what you can do in your own back yard so to speak.
