IN view of the disappointing news that Wisbech missed out on the Mary Portas initiative, I offer my version of the Three Rs in an effort to improve the town centre.
Refurbishment: What can be done to obtain permission for council funds to be used to remedy the state of the former Belfast building adjacent to the Clarkson Memorial?
Restriction: On vehicles in the town centre and environs. How long is it going to be until the Market Place is pedestrianised, particularly in view of a recent accident.
Removal: Of negative behaviours. A strict adherence to the alcohol ban in the town centre and other anti-social practices, such as spitting, walking in the road, cycling on pavements.
Not much new here but I feel it needs constantly highlighting in an effort to get some action.
