AS a resident of Nene Quay in Wisbech I can understand that unforeseen problems can occur and so prolong the work being done.
However, if one looks across the River Nene to where the Lions’ Garden is situated the wall there is probably about three to four feet lower than the one being built.
Is it the case we will protect Nene Quay but if we get a really high tide the Old Market Place and North Brink can flood? which will happen if nothing is done. So far I have heard of no plans to rectify this.
