It was a tough day for most at the latest Tydd Gote Sunday club match at Main Road as a cool and blustery east wind coupled with clear water meant fish were hard to come by.

On end peg 35, the bream were again conspicuous by their absence but the ever-reliable Andrew Kilby found one or two quality roach to worm plus some smaller roach, perch and skimmers on pinkie for a comfortable win, putting 6lb 5oz on the scales.

Archie Greenwood was second from peg 17 with 4lb 5oz, a good perch on his worm line plus roach and skimmers long to pinkie over groundbait. Andy Toogood was third with 3lb 8oz from peg 31 and there was a tie for fourth with Dave Simmonds on 26 and Steve Borrett on 28 both ending with 2lb 8oz of roach and skimmers.
