By Fenland Citizen Reporter

Over at Buttonhole Fishery there was a good turnout for the open match which saw most struggling in the strong wind, making it difficult to present a pole rig for some anglers, writes Ken Wade.

Match winner Joe Bourn on peg 20 made the right decision to fish a small feeder on the tip with pellet as hook bait; then switched to sweetcorn giving him a very respectable 96lb 13oz to take the match.

Runner-up on the day was first time visitor to the venue Roger Phillips on peg 7.
