MARCH athlete Louise Hazel continued her build up to the London Oympics by representing Birmingham in the Inter City Challenge at Lee Valley on Saturday.
The 26-year-old had a personal indoor best in the shot putt with 12.63m just .07 off her outdoor best when she finished in third place.
She also recorded a seasonal best in the 60 metre hurdles with 8.35sec to take second place in her heat and then in the high jump finished with 1.66m in seventh.
Hazel commented: “I was very pleased with the shot putt and the hurdles was decent too. I feel on track to hit peak form at the right time for the Olympics.”
