Whittlesey Athletic beat Parson Drove in Thurlow Nunn League First Division North




Whittlesey Athletic claimed the Division One North bragging rights on Wednesday night with a 3-1 victory over Fenland rivals Parson Drove.

Isaac Jobling gave the home side a 1-0 lead in the Thurlow Nunn League clash at the Danzan Logistics Stadium.

Lee Briggs and Jack Carter added further goals for Athletic, while Jack Kent registered Drove's reply from the penalty spot.

The win lifts Athletic to 11th spot in the table with Drove sitting two places above in ninth.

On Saturday, Drove entertain lowly Leiston U23 and Athletic host mid-table Halesworth Town.
