The Hares made Great Shelford work hard for their win.

There was little between the teams in the first half, until Shelford, three divisions higher than the Hares, got two goals on the stroke of half-time. Emma Searle scored from 30 yards after great team build-up from PoM Adele Munday and Emma Frost. Shelford got two late goals, with Michelle Cracknell and Jess Harvey also going close.

Manager Gary Davis said: “Considering the opposition had a good FA Cup run this season and the league standard they play, I couldn’t have asked any more from the team. It was also pleasing to hear the opposition manager saying how much we have improved.”
