Brisk Burgess has storming race over multi-terrain challenging course of five miles

The Frostbite Friendly League lived up to its name on Sunday, with freezing temperatures in Bourne.

March AC gave it everything to ensure their overall fourth position in the league was maintained.

Dave Burgess had a storming race over the multi-terrain challenging course of five miles through Bourne Woods.

Out of 387 finishers Dave raced to the finish ninth overall and first for the club with a fantastic time of 29 minutes and 34 seconds.

Karen Patterson did it for the ladies, leading them in with a time of 37.18.

March juniors were 10th overall on the day, giving them ninth overall in the league so far. Louis Benningfield was first home for the juniors with a time of 9 minutes 6 seconds.
