Pace bowler Bradley Perrett took another big wicket haul for leaders Wisbech Town in the Cambs Tucker Premier League Division One on Saturday.

Kiwi Perrett managed figures of 16-4-40-6 as Wisbech chased a reduced target of 73 after a rain delay to win at Camden by 9 wickets. Camden were dismissed for 88 with no batsman reaching double figures.

The other bowling mainstay was left-arm spinner Craig Johnson with 16-7-30-2 while the other wicket-taker was Kieran Haynes with 2-10.

With one eye on the weather Wisbech reached their target in just 9.3 overs.

Gary Freear was promoted and hit a quickfire 38. He and fellow opener Sam Albutt (not out 31) almost hit all the runs, while Josh Bowers was not out 1.

Skipper Alan Burton said: “I was just worried about a shower that was on its way after we had one long and one short rain break. Gary batting up there worked well.

“Brad bowled well in spells, and one good spell after we came back on bowled them out.

“It’s another 20 points in the bag.”

Wisbech head second spot Ramsey by 11 points and next weekend they are away at Castor & Ailsworth.
