March Cricket Club holds presentation evening and cheque hand-overs

LEARN MOREMarch Town Cricket Club held its Annual Presentation Evening on Saturday, and more than 50 members attended a sit down meal provided by Richardson’s Caterers.
Chairman Ian Liversedge presented the trophies to the winners.
Sat 1st X1 Player of the Year (Ian Bradshaw Trophy) : Sam Clarke
Sat 2nd X1 Player of the Year (Pat Ringham Cup) : Lewis Welcher
Sat 3rd X1 Player of the Year (Mel Pooley Trophy) : Mark Deas
Sunday 2nd X1 (Les Mills Shield) : Ioan Foreman
Most Improved Player (Nick Lowe Trophy): Shae Pooley
Young Player of the Year (Chris Littler Trophy): Phoenix Nightingale.
Clubman of the Year (Chris Littler Shield): Matt Vail.
Ladies : Lois Hopkins (Captain of the March Marvels who won the Chippenham Ladies Tournament Shield).
– During the evening presentations were made to two local charities, namely Scotty’s Little Soldiers and Young People March (YPM).
President Les Mills gave a cheque for £372 to Ben Pyle for Scotty’s Little Soldiers, raised at a T/20 match in June 2019 between the March Town Cricket Club (The Crows) and March Rugby Club (The Bears).
Money was raised by members supporting a draw arranged by Terry Hunt.
The second presentation was £400 to YPM, accepted by centre managers Jayne Manders and Sarah Housley-Stott.
This money was raised by members supporting a draw arranged by Terry Hunt and Bill Crumly at the 2021 President’s v Chairman’s T/20 Fun Day held on Bank Holiday Sunday.
