Commonwealth featherweight title holder Jordan Gill hopes to add the WBA International belt on March 2 when he fights Emmanuel Dominguez.

Chatteris golden gloves star Gill will return to fight in Cambridgeshire for the first time in five years at the East of England Arena in Peterborough next month.

More than 500 tickets have already been sold for the big fight.

Gill beat Ryan Doyle for the Commonwealth title back in October at the Copper Box Arena in London's Olympic Park in Stratford.

He is now stepping up to international class by fighting Dominguez who is ranked eighth in Mexico having won 24 of his 33 fights, and having only been stopped once.

Gill, who is still unbeaten in his professional career, said: "This is a great opportunity for me to bring boxing back to Peterborough and I hope that this will be the first of many fights in the city.

"With it being so close to my home town of Chatteris I hope that we will be able to sell out the venue."

"I have not seen Dominguez fight but Mexicans are renowned for being tough and I can not see him being any different."

Gill, who boasts a 22-0 pro record overall, added via social media on Sunday: "Put in the graft this weekend, over 500 tickets gone for Peterborough!

"What a night this is going to be, there’s nowhere else to be March 2nd. Thanks for the support!

"Get in contact to see me win another title!"
