Chatteris Cycling Club receives donation

Chatteris Cycling Club based in Cambridgeshire is celebrating after receiving a £300 donation from the MARS Milk Play Fund.

Set up last month, the club is the only cycling group in Chatteris.

The club, already has 40 members and is keen to encourage more people to take up cycling in the local area.

Matt Waters, Founder of the club says: “As a newly-formed club we are really keen to become affiliated to The British Cycling Federation.

“Achieving this affiliation will mean that the club has access to cycling experts and other forms of support which will help us to improve our sessions.

“However the affiliation is quite expensive for a new club and we don’t want to pass on any costs to our new members so the donation from Mars Milk Play Fund is a great step towards achieving the monies required for the affiliation.”

The MARS Milk Play Fund was set up to help individuals, clubs and groups to play more.
