Chatteris duo taste success

The junior team of the Chatteris Kingfishers SC was in action in the fifth round of the Junior Fenland League, in Peterborough.

The squad faced tough competition, but still came away with two first places, six second spots and 11 creditable third places, as well as 13 personal bests.

Final result: Deepings 169, Boston 167, Peterborough B 146, Chatteris 97 and First Strokes from Godmanchester 86.

First places: Megan Dawson in 13/U 50m breaststroke and Chloe Cook in 12/U 100m I.M, both in PB times and both going through the cut-off time for their race.

Second places: Anastassja Herdien in 10/u 50m butterfly (p.b.), Freddie Allen in 10/u 50m butterfly (p.b.) and 11/U 50m breaststroke, Chloe Cook in 11/u 50m butterfly and 12/U 50m backstroke and Thomas Hanley in 13/u 50m front crawl.

Third places: Thomas Hanley in 11/u and 12/u 50m butterfly (p.b.), Maisie Harper in 11/u 50m backstroke and 12/u 50m butterfly (both p.b.), Riley Astley in 11/u 50m breaststroke and 12/u 50m backstroke, Anastassja Herdien in 11/u 50m front crawl, Harry Rayner in 10/u 50m front crawl (p.b.), Hallie White in 12/u 50m breaststroke, Freddie Allen in 11/u 50m breaststroke, and 9-year old Ben Noble in 50m breaststroke (p.b.).

Further PB times were swum by: Freddie Allen in 12/U 100m I.M., Ben Noble in 9 years 50m front crawl, Anastassja Herdien in 10/u 50m breaststroke and Harry Rayner in 10/u 50m backstroke and 50m front crawl. Also swimming were Elliott Stocker and Melissa Ablett.
