By Fenland Citizen Reporter

It was jubilation for Alex Kaufman’s Chatteris Town first-team who ran out 7-0 winners at Fulbourn Institute Reserves to go top of Kershaw Senior A.

Gary Smith’s treble, a Ben Matthews brace and further strikes from Kenny Kingshott and Brandon Ransome stretched their unbeaten league run to five games.

In Mead Plant & Grab 4C, the Lilies’ A side slipped to a narrow 1-0 defeat to Littleport Town courtesy of a second-half strike.
