Chatteris had another good win away from home beating Cambridge Granta thirds by a massive 237 runs on Saturday to move into second place in CCA Senior 3.
They elected to bat first and captain Ant Palmer 51 and Kurt Cunningham 122 not out put on 112 for the first wicket inside 20 overs. Chatteris finished with 284 for four off 45 overs with Oli Fox (43) continuing his good start to the season and a quick fire 25 from Liam Boxall.
In reply the home side just never got going, being bowled out for just 47 with four batsman going for ducks. Palmer finished with five wickets for just 11 runs from 9 overs, Andy Wool chipping in with 3-27, and then Mark Leach cleaned the tail up with 2-6.
In CCA Junior 2A Chatteris seconds got well beaten for a second week in a row by a well prepared Little Downham, losing by 9 wickets.
Batting first the home side found it hard going losing their first two wickets in the eighth over with the score on just 11 and with wickets falling at regular intervals, Chatteris finishing their innings 122-6.
Little Downham chased the total down in 19 overs for the loss of one wicket.
In the Fenland Trophy on Sunday Chatteris kept up their fine winning start with a crushing 205-run win at home to Wisbech.
Chatteris batting first racked up a mammoth 305-5, with the evergreen Mark Leach 115 not out, being well supported by Joe Mennary (76) following his century last week in the same competition.
Wisbech lost four early wickets, with three of them going to 14-year-old Kriss Brown, and they were finally all out for just 100.
