LEARN MOREThe curtain came down on March CC’s Whitings League Division 1 season, as the record books were torn apart by league runners-up Histon!
March had 453 runs scored against them, lost by a colossal 298 runs, with Aussie Josh Brown belting an unbelievable 290 – striking 250 in boundaries off just 149 balls – before falling to Sam Clarke. He now heads the league batting stats with 1,056 runs at a strike rate of 149.54!
Saranga Rajaguru (pictured) returned figures of 2-53 with his leg-spin but was one of two batsmen in the March top four to fail. The visitors were 75-7 and it couldn’t have looked much worse for stand-in skipper Andy Wright.

Chapman fell just three runs short of his maiden half-century at this level. March finished fourth in the division, their highest position in the league since 2012.
