March CC 2nds' Scott Welcher and Nigel Wright shine in Great Shelford tie

March 2nds bounced back from the previous week’s defeat to feature in a rare tie versus Great Shelford on Saturday.

Scott Welcher turned in a superb all-round performance, scoring 38 runs in the March total of 191-9 and then taking 4-35 as the home side were dismissed with the scores level.

Nigel Wright took the all important final wicket during his 3-25 spell, with just two balls of the match remaining.

March 2nd XI 191-9, 45 overs (Matty Vail 39, Scott Welcher 38, Steve Hinson 27, John Gildon 23), Great Shelford 191 all out, 44.4 overs (Scott Welcher 4-35, Nigel Wright 3-25).
