Wisbech and March Cricket Clubs suffer near washouts after heatwave

Apart from one match, Wisbech Town and March Town Cricket Clubs suffered a washout last weekend (July 27/28).

On Saturday in the Cambs League - Whiting & Partners Division 3, Wisbech 2nd XI lost to Newborough 1st XI by 59 runs.

Scores: Wisbech Town 2nds won the toss and elected to field.

Newborough 152-4 (20 overs: Brodie Ellis 1-41, George Gowler 1-23, Lyndon Mallett 1-23, Ian Cooper 1-33) 30pts.

Wisbech 2nd XI 93 all out (18.4: Brodie Ellis 20) 4pts.

It was an unlucky weekend for March Town CC:

Saturday: 1st X1 was cancelled as Godmanchester have dropped out of the league; 2nd X1, 3rd X1 & 4th X1 games were cancelled due to rain.

Sunday: 1st X1 was cancelled as Castor have dropped out of the league; 2nd X1 was cancelled as Ramsey were unable to raise a side.
