Skipper Rob Tombs struck 53, his best cricket score of the season, in the March total of 248 all out.
He was well supported by Matty Vail (43) and David Hodson (30), with three other batsmen getting into the 20s.
One of those was Nuwan Athukorala, who then took three wickets after tea, as he and opening bowling partner Stuart Mills shared six scalps between them.
Nigel Wright also picked up 3-6 as the visitors were dismissed for 136.
