Defender Liam Marshall joins Wisbech Town FC from Evo-stik League rivals Spalding Utd

By Pete Woodhouse

Left-sided defender Liam Marshall has become the latest player to pledge his future to Wisbech Town FC, joining from Evo-stik League rivals Spalding United.

The 22-year-old has plenty of experience of playing at Step 4 and above with appearances for Corby Town in the National League North, Ilkeston and Stamford in the Northern Premier League and Peterborough Sports in the Southern League, before his move to the Tulips in November last year.

His early career was spent at the Leicester City Academy and as part of the Peterborough United youth set-up.
