Doddington deny Upwell

Upwell found themselves 3-0 down at half-time away to a mixture of Doddington first and reserves in the Cambs League.

In the second half Upwell dominated and looked to penetrate Doddington’s defence, but only Jack Watson managed to find the back of the net as Doddington defended like their lives depended on it.

Upwell Reserves lost 3-0 to Manea Reserves who dropped excessive first team players for the encounter.

First team manager, Karl Schultz, was less than impressed with this weekend’s results. “I’m of the opinion that reserve teams are for developing players ready for the first team. Clearly others take the win-at-all-costs approach.

“Cambs FA have confirmed the reserve result will be overturned.”
