Doddington derby win

Doddington lost to St Ives 3rds by six wickets on Saturday.

Doddington started well with Scott Bamford top scoring with 58, Jamie Long 23, but soon fell apart for 100 all out. Long bagged 3-33 and Phil Goodfellow 1-19 off their 10 overs but St Ives got the runs in 31 overs.

Doddington took the derby spoils against neighbours Wimblington.

Doddington set 111 with Scott Bamford 25, Dan Beavis 20, Dan Martell 21 and a handy 16 from Ryan Wright.

Doddington’s bowling star of the show was young John Palmer taking 5-9 off five overs and wrapping Wimblington up for 107, Ash Irvine 57.

Archie Palmer claimed 2-18, Martell 1-26 and Wright 2-14.
