Late equalisers for March and Parson Drove but defeats for Wisbech and Wisbech St Mary

Dramatic late equalisers earned points for March Town and Parson Drove this afternoon, but there were defeats for Wisbech Town and Wisbech St Mary.

In the Pitching In Northern Premier League Midland Division, Wisbech stay in the third from bottom relegation play-off place after a 2-0 home defeat against Bedworth United, who occupy eighth spot.

The game was goalless at the break but Arran Duke and Mark Warren's men conceded in the 46th and the 82nd minutes.

In the Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties League Premier Division, seventh placed March twice came from behind to draw 2-2 at home to 11th placed local rivals Ely City in a match full of drama.

Ryan Gibbs gave Ely the lead early in the second half, but Craig Gillies pulled the Hares level before missing a penalty. Captain Tom Williams put the visitors 2-1 up with 10 minutes remaining, but sub Sam Green sealed a 2-2 draw, just seconds after having an effort disallowed.

In the First Division North a last minute own goal grabbed a point for 11th placed Parson Drove at sixth placed Diss Town, who had taken a 73rd minute lead, but Wisbech St Mary remain rock bottom after losing 4-1 at home to fellow strugglers Debenham LC, Michael Chow netting for Saints.
