Hares boss Brett Whaley said: "They're at the top end of our league, usually top six, and it's always difficult to go there.

"It was a solid performance rather than an outstanding one but at this time of year whoever you're talking to, it's about getting results. We're still getting used to playing together."

With so many cup ties at the moment, he does not mind falling behind on fixtures.

"Looking at the league table, everyone is beating everybody else," added Whaley.

Attendance: 80

Wisbech St Mary went out 2-0 (AET) at Debenham LC after it was deadlocked at 0-0 after 90 minutes.

Wisbech St Mary on Wednesday (Sep 4) entertain Downham Town in Thurlow Nunn League First Division North.
