Fenland drivers prepare for big stock car meeting at King’s Lynn
Stock car and banger racing returns to Lynn this Saturday where four formulas are in action featuring the Micro Banger UK Championship, 1300 stock cars, unlimited lady bangers and junior bangers.
It is the big race of the year for the smallest National Banger Class.
Jack Maryon finished in third place in this race last season and he will be looking for a good result again this year but will need to qualify for the championship through the last chance race.
We have several drivers already on the grid and all of them have a great chance of taking the top honours.
Brad Bartram currently leads the national points and will be looking for another big points haul as he continues his march to win the Silver Roof.
Lennie Murkin is one of the quickest there is in the junior bangers whilst James Licquorice is always there or thereabouts in these types of races and if he falls out of contention you can guarantee he will be looking to pile on some more entertainer points.
Most of the region's 1300 stock car drivers will be in action in what is the final qualifying round for the World of Shale Championship.
The Moat family have all had a great 2024 season and are all currently in the star grade with red roofs and John, Dean and Shane are all booked in for action.
Sonny Wright is showing tremendous form at the moment and will be full of confidence after winning the final at Northampton a few weeks ago whilst Lee Green and Barty Ketteringham are also both in action.
A large Fenland junior banger entry includes Levi Murkin, Jade Ellis, Archie Horwood, Lincoln Douglas, Riley Crowson, Kiean Mays, Keyan Murkin Everett and Nick Bedford.
