Young Walpole Highway race ace receives sponsorship from North Pickenham venue
A young Fenland karting ace has been offered some sponsorship in his quest to eventually compete in the British Championships.
Alfie Irvine, 12, has received some backing from Anglian Karting Centre, based at North Pickenham near Swaffham.
The Walpole Highway race ace started his racing journey at AKC, which operates a kids' club involving training and a mini league is very popular and good grounding should you wish to progress.
Irvine went on from here to club racing and now moves up from Honda Cadets to Junior Rotax in a full-size chassis and now races predominantly at Red Lodge karting near Newmarket.
He has enjoyed a strong season this year and hopes to continue the trend in the highly competitive junior series which runs up to age 16.
The talented youngster races under the Autism in Motorsport (AIM) banner and is an ambassador for AIM by raising awareness and encouraging young people with varying degrees of Autism to try the sport.
Irvine is not sponsored financially by AIM, and if you have any questions about it please visit the AIM website or their Facebook page.
He is still looking for sponsorship as he strives to go as far as he possibly can in the sport.
