Fenmen’s clean bill of health for home clash

Busy Wisbech Town are set to be at full strength for another round of midweek and weekend fixtures as they return to the Elgood’s Stadium on Saturday.

The second-spot Fenmen host Long Buckby AFC, who they have just beaten 4-1 away (see page 87) in the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division.

Manager Dick Creasey singled out last night’s home game with Deeping and next Tuesday’s trip to Yaxley as the more difficult matches as they are against top eight sides.

He said: “The lad needs more of a challenge (than Buckby). Everyone is available. I’ll stop rotating the team from now on. I’ll pick what I think is the best side.

“(Leaders) Rushden have got the points but we’ll keep fighting.”
