Wisbech bring back former players ahead of crunch home games against Kimberley Miners Welfare and Shirebrook Town

Wisbech Town have made the most of a week's inactivity on the pitch by bringing back two familiar faces ahead of two huge home games in the UCL Premier Division North.

The Fenmen have signed the popular Amir Ward while Rob Conyard is back for a second stint at Fountain Fresh Park after a brief spell with Leverington Sports in the Peterborough Premier League

A club statement released on Saturday read: "Rob Conyard links back up with manager Luke Hipwell following their short spell together at Deeping Rangers.

"More recently at Leverington Sports, Rob will provide a focal point in attack and add a new dimension to an already talented group of attacking options.

"Following a short spell with Grantham Town, Amir has decided to return to the Fenmen.

"A fans’ favourite and a great asset to help push the football club on.

“Amir will once again provide a major attacking threat and is a match-winner in his own right."
