Gorefield beat Sutton Bridge to win bowls Quilter Cup

The annual bowls match for the Quilter Cup was played for on Sunday between Gorefield and Sutton Bridge, with both teams winning two rinks each, but an overall win for Gorefield, 83-54.

North Cambs Women’s Bowling Federation travelled to Ketton to play Northants in their fourth match of the season.

On a very heavy green which had been waterlogged earlier in the week, North Cambs struggled to find their form and lost the game 144 shots to 93.

One rink drew which resulted in an overall points loss of 17-1.
