Corner woes for March

The Hares conceded all their goals from corners in the Thurlow Nunn League First Division KO Cup first round on Saturday, including three in the second half.

March fielded two new signings, central defender Ryan Peacock and central midfielder Michael Chow.

The Hares were 1-0 down to the last kick of the first half, and the afternoon went downhill from there.

Manager Paul Crosbie said: “That’s seven goals direct from corners we have conceded in the last three games.

“It was very disappointing.”

Crosbie said of next weekend’s tough home clash: “We’re up against second placed Fakenham who are big, strong and direct.

“If we let ourselves get bullied at set-pieces again it will be another long afternoon for us.”

March will test the fitness of Gary White, Sam Egbayelo and Toby Ogbonna; while Lewis Cook and Ben Lemmon remain injured.
