March Rangers under 13 team rounded off a very good season by winning the Cambs League Cup at Cambridge Stadium, beating Walpole Warriors by 5-3.
They also finished runners-up in the Cambs League Division.
Ben Norton opened the scoring with a well taken free kick, and March quickly added a second through Soloman Orejei. Rangers continued to dominate and scored a third goal with a tap-in by Daniel James but shortly before half time Walpole made it 3-1.
After the break Warriors dominated and scored two goals to level the contest at 3-3 and, had it not been for a string of superb saves from the March keeper Henry Butt, Rangers could have been further behind.
Both sides continued to show signs that the breakthrough goal was not too far away, and sure enough, Rangers clinched the cup with two superbly taken goals towards the end of the game from Josh Doncaster (mom).
The squad was: Henry Butt, Kyle Ward, Mitchell Drewery, Conor Mazurek, Josh Fairminer, Keaton Smith, Luke Dawson, Thomas Wadsworth, Ben Norton, Tom Morton, Josh Doncaster (mom), Ethan Kirby, Dan James, Alfie Jaggard, Solomon Orieji.
