Former Wisbech Town FC boss Steve Appleby has been announced as joint manager of UCL Premier rivals Holbeach United.
Appleby spent three-and-a-half years in charge of The Fenmen before he quit in September 2013 and took a break from management. The former Wisbech midfielder has been playing for village team Sutterton Reserves in the Boston and District League this season.
Having won the UCL title in his only season as a Holbeach player, Appleby hopes he can now bring success back to Carter’s Park.
The 46-year-old returned to Holbeach yesterday (Wednesday) as part of a new management team with close friend John Chand.
