Goal eludes plucky Park

Dersingham 1, Estover Park 0

Park bossed this game against top of the table Dersingham but just could not score.

Rhi Butler went close but couldn’t quite connect with a cross and Fern Paterson was injured during a one on one with the keeper. With 15 minutes to go Dersingham scored a fortunate goal to get the points.

Jade Anderson (pom) was stunning in midfield and attack.

Hungate Rovers 1, Riverside 7

Riverside pressured from the off and led 2-0 before Ellie Bennington made it 2-1.

The visitors stepped up a gear as Hungate struggled to get out of their own half after the break with five more goals.

Estover Park 3, Alconbury 0

Park’s New Year revival continues with four games undefeated.

The first half was a close contest with both teams battling well and the defences resilient.

A tactical switch at half-time showed Park’s intentions to go for it, Powell provided the opener with a lob over the keeper and then added a second following up from an excellent save.

Plitsch finished off the game shifting the ball to her stronger foot and smashing a 18-yard drive into the top corner. Excellent team performance with Anderson (pom).

Chatteris 1, Wisbech St Mary 0

Saints lost their third encounter this season with Chatteris.

Two evenly matched teams played end to end football. Special mention to both goalkeepers who produced some top class saves.

Chatteris 7, Benwick O

Lehanna Turner hit four goals in a comfortable win. Other goals came from Laura Coe, Lucy King and Ella Nutter.
