Greens maintain spree with 15-0 mauling


Hungate Greens 15, Wells 0

Greens followed their 11-0 win to score 15 unanswered goals against a plucky Wells side in a great team performance.

Scorers: Lewis Jackson 4, Aaron Buckley 3, Jay Rout, Lewis Forth, Thomas Fender, and Thomas Skuse 2 each.

Special mention to Greens keeper Alex Bishop who has now two clean sheets.

Hungate Rovers Whites 2

A brilliant team performance by March in dreadful weather conditions, to register their first win of the season. An outstanding performance by MoM Jack Judd, with goals from Shay Chapman, Judd and Kyle Liddy (2).


Chatteris 1, Papworth 1

Chatteris were denied their first win of the season by an excellent solo equaliser with just seconds of the game remaining.

A brighter Chatteris took the lead with a brilliant free kick by Josh Joyce. Damon Becket’s ‘goal’ was adjudged offside and Karl Anderson cleared off the line.

Littleport 0, Wisbech St Mary 11

Saints’ cup campaign got off to a flying start and could have scored more but for the excellent Littleport ’keeper. Goals came from Jacob Smith (2), Jake Baldry, Jack Friend (3) and Callum Greentree (5).


Whittlesey A 5,

Wisbech Acorns 1

With a weakened team due to injuries Acorns never got into this game despite taking the lead through a Jordi Scott-Henson goal.

MoM: Conner Hills for a good performance in goal.

Leverington Blue 1, Netherton 0

A close game saw both teams hit the woodwork before Craig Pack scored the winner 10 minutes from time.

Chatteris White 7,

Saffron Walden 1

Chatteris dominated this match from the word “go”, with Luke Bailey scoring the first goal within 10 minutes, followed quickly by two from Asa Revell after good passing play from the team.

Charlie Pitt (against his former team mates) and Asa Revell both ended with hat-tricks.


Rippingale & Folkingham FC 2, WSM 2

Reagan Brown scored for WSM with a good run and placed finish.

The second came from pressure on the defence to earn an own goal. Rippingale fought back for a well deserved draw.


Leverington 5,

Wisbech Acorns 1

In this derby dominant Leverington took a 1-0 half-time lead, MoM Aaron Bass with a perfect finish from a good Matty Rose corner.

In the second half Leverington played more football and got their rewards, Matt Ogbiede scoring twice, George Chadwick and Will Rackley all with good finishes.


March SS 0, Leverington 5

Leverington started brightly and were rewarded when Lewis Roxbee curled a great effort into the top corner.

Matt Gowler showed determination to make it 2-0, Tom Linsay and Gowler made it four and captain James Johnson completed the scoring.


Leverington 9, Crowland 2

Leverington had a fine win over a team from a higher division to progress to the next round of the cup.

In-form Billy Carman scored six goals, James Towson 2, with Tommy Wiles adding another. Lewis Stearne was MoM.

Wisbech St Mary Yellow 2, Glinton Utd Yellow 0

Jon Cullen broke the deadlock in the second half direct from a corner kick and followed it up with a vicious left cross in yet another fine all round Saints team display.

Estover Park 4, Richard Scott 1

Garrison Asher scored in the first minute and Richard Scott levelled through a fine solo effort from Zach Mulholland.

Kieran Kirby replied with a goal from 35 yards. MoM Brandon Pearce scored from a tight angle with Asher adding his second late on.


Holbeach 0, WSM 1

In a tough away day fixture, St Marys were unfortunate but chances were wasted.

Brody Warren tucked away a deserved lead, while Jonah Gill made a great stop one on one.
