March Town 1,
Long Melford 2
The Hares ended up bottom of the Thurlow Nunn Division One table after again dropping a point from a good position.
The prolific Sean White continued his recent scoring form by equalising but Melford grabbed a late winner.
Boss Paul Blanchflower said: “Their first goal midway through the first half was a goalmouth scramble that ricocheted off one of our players.
“I changed the formation to three at the back ten minutes into the second half. We went for it and within ten minutes we equalised. But we conceded to Long Melford in the 87th minute while over-committed pushing forward.
“We’ve had some fantastic spells, playing little triangles and moving it around.
“We’ve had a lot of 2-1’s and also had games where, in the least expected ones like Halstead (high-fliers who last week March almost beat), was one of the best performances they’ve put in under me.
“I’ve been asked to do the job again and I have got to spend the next couple of weeks and have a solid think and take stock of the situation.”
