Hares pay penalty

Two second half goals in a minute including a penalty condemned the Hares to a heavy defeat on Saturday.

Ipswich went ahead after just two minutes and were 2-0 up at the break. The hosts then scored on 57, 58 and 88 minutes.

March boss Paul Blanchflower said of the penalty: “Our centre-halves were adamant they didn’t touch their player.

“The attitude and work rate were much better. We had good spells in the first half without troubling their keeper.”

Lewis Welcher is suspended for next Saturday’s Thurlow Nunn League Division One trip to Dereham Reserves.
