Hungate created numerous chances but it just wasn’t their day. Freddie Broomfield just earned MoM for his defensive work.

March Soccer School Reds 3, MSS Blues 1

Reds took all three points despite trailing at half-time and continued to press and play their passing game.

Their skipper Chaz Thurlby scored twice before Jack Hayes volleyed the goal of the game to seal an evenly contested derby. Quinn Canavan MoM for the Reds. Both teams and sets of supporters enjoyed a great game.

Acorns 13, Whittlesey Red 0

From the start Acorns were on top and scored early through Knowles.

Then the goals flowed via Pip Brundle (2), Owen Brundle (2), Orobasa, Knowles completing his hat-trick and Chenery. In the second half Orobasa completed his hat-trick and Knowles took his tally to five.


March Rangers 1, Cambridge Celts 7

March came up against a very good team.

They never got into a rhythm and found themselves 3-0 down at half time. March got a consolation through an own goal.

March produced yet another impressive team performance to carry on their 100 per cent winning start to the season.

Goals were scored by Fyn Smith, Blake Cowley (2) and Kyle Liddy (3). MoM: Todd Chapman.


Peterborough Northern Star Yellow 0, Estover Park 2

Despite dominating it took James Meek’s effort eight minutes from time to set Estover up and immediately afterwards Ben Butterworth sealed the points.

Man of the Match was Zach Mulholland.


Glinton 0, WSM 1

The scorer was Macy Carr (PoM) who had many near misses.

Saints were a player down but still played top class football in a well fought match.


Hampton 6, Estover Park 1

Top of the league Hampton led 4-0 at half time but that didn’t reflect Park’s battling performance.

Park were awarded a consolation penalty for handball which Brooke Anderson finished into the bottom corner. PoM: Ellie Coleman for her excellent performance in goal.

There is a local derby next Saturday at the Cricket Club where Estover Park face Hungate at 10.30am.
